Embracing the big city lifestyle and breathing everything fashion and style New York City has to offer, Blaire Brown has taken on the fashion capitol by storm. Inspired by Uptown glamour to West Village whimsy, the infinite ensembles and expression of individuals that roam the streets of New York is a story waiting to be told.

Blaire has been covering Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week from Bryant Park to the Lincoln Center for the past 3 years—attending a variety of designers from Michael Kors, Betsey Johnson, and Jill Stuart—to emerging designers just breaking into the scene. Runway shows to presentations in old lofts, fashion can be transcribed in so many ways which is what makes this industry so exciting and fresh. Surprises are waiting to reveal themselves around the corner of every stage.

The beauty of being in the city is that you don’t need to go to a fashion show to see or be a part of the fashion scene. The girl at the coffee shop. The woman walking her dog in chic wedges and a sundress. The subway ride home strap-hanger reading the paper. Fashion is everywhere in my backyard, and I would love to share it with you.

In addition to writing, Blaire Brown started a purse business at a young age, designing and creating purses to sell online at www.fashionflamingo.etsy.com.  Inspired and excited for the business venture, she decided to pursue fashion as a career in college at the Fashion Institute of Technology.  Throughout the 7 years of being in business, her purses have been recognized by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Next In Fashion blog, and other publications.
